Just to start off before anyone calls me this, Im a dumba$$. Ok, today I borrowed a factory radio and cd player from my friend (I dont have a radio) and decided to install it. Well to just get to the point I forgot to ground it  . So I try to start the car and it doesnt. While Im trying to start the car my brother tells me there were sparks coming from a small fuse box-like object that is connected to the positive (+) cable which holds DUN DUN DUN three fuses. The car actually started for maybe 5seconds but then died. So my question is.... what are those three fuses? and are they blown?

Thanks in advanvce.

Yes, I know Im a dumba$$.

Most people would inspect them, check with a test light or a multi-meter. You may have other fuses out for we don't know what you have done. Disconnect the radio and then make your tests, don't hook it back up until you know more what you are doing or pay a professional to make the install.

Cheers,
GTM

Those fuses are for your ignition, radiator fan, and fuel injection. So, your car will not start if they are blown. Check them all.

Thanks for the info. Im about to go check them again beause it was too dark outside last night and couldnt tell (lost fashlight). How much would those fuses go for ? Is Satan the only place I can get them?

Thanks again.

You are in luck, maybe. The fuses are fitted to other cars and can be found in the chain auto stores in blister pack, $5-$6?

Some how the fuses were loose OMG

Ahha, that will do it. And dare I ask about the radio...

You need a 12v test light which you can then figure out what's hot and what's not. Remember some circuits dim the radio for night driving, some will control a power antenna which you may not have, etc. Just not a good idea shooting blind for you ECU is right there and putting surges on that could be very expensive.

Doesn't hurt to have spares of those large fuses.

Cheers,
GTM
