I bought a Walbro 255 Lph fuel pump a while ago and I was told if I got the Low Pressure Unit then I would not need a Fuel Pressure Regulator. But at the same Time I bough it I bought a fuel pressure gauge and a fuel filter. Well basically I installed the 255 and also did the re-wire and now at Idle with the Hose connected the gauges reads around 49-51 psi at Idle. Is this ok??? What are some negatives/positives about this?

There are no positives. That is FPR overrun, you need a good adjustable regulator.

Whoever told you a low pressure pump wouldn't overrun is a moron, the low pressure pump is the same as the high pressure unit, except with a wussier relief spring.

alrighty thanks, anyone out there selling a fpr??? maybe $100 or less?

The B&M unit mounts onto your hacked stock fpr.. It can and will ONLY RAISE fuel pressure. Since you already have a base FP of 49-51psi you need to get a true aftermarket FPR like an Aeromotive or SX or the bolt on FPR from fullthrottlespeed.com.... Those FPR's will allow the extra fuel to return to the tank and not be pushed into your cylinders causing you to run extra rich.

Yup I just got the B&M and tried it out, and let me say it is a waste of money, not only did it ruin my stock FPR but it raised my fp and wouldnt let me lower it to stock even, dont buy it. Im checking this one out at chargedair.com, direct bolt on and fully adjustable and the best part 10 Minutes away from my house!!!

Let me know how that works out for you. I might be interested in it myself.
