I've tried checking this elsewhere in the forum with no luck. I've got a question about the sound the turbo makes when it is spooling up. Instead of a whisling sound like I hear most cars make, mine makes more of a lower pitched screeming/whining sound. I'm sorry to be so vague, if I had a digital recorder, that would help out a lot. I was just wondering if this was normal, and just all turbos not sounding the same.

Thanks for any input!

I'd pull the intake pipe and check for shaft play. Sounds like it may be on the way out.

I will defintely try to check that out:thumb: . The thing is, I've had the car for almost 3 years now and it has always sounded like that. A buddy of mine was the one that told me he had never heard one sound like that before. I've put over 30,000 miles on the car since i've owned it and I would think if the turbo may be going out, it probably would have done it by now.

Please let me know if you still think that's the problem!

Thanks.

My car made a screaming sound when I put on an aftermarket UICP. The screaming went away after I put my FMIC on. For some reason the UICP just made the air scream.

I don't think that is it, because my car is stock.

Thanks for the input:thumb: !

Thanks for the input man, I will check that out also after I check for the shaft play. How do I need to check for those leaks?

Thanks.
