Simple question for u! My first mod, a MBC!

Hey all I just did my first mod, I installed a MBC. The guy i got the car from gave it to me but i needed to put it in. I was just making sure its ok.... I teed one end into the BOV vac line that runs into the intake manifold, and the other MBC line to the wastegate. Correct, no? And is the MBC supposed to be sucking in air as I open the valve?? I just got scared bc as i open the MBC valve air is sucked in. My first turbo car Thanks a lot, it is appreciated!

yes i know vfaq, but its still confusing to me..
here is what i understand and did



BOV====T=========== (to intake manifold)
.............||
.............||
.............||
.............MBC======wastegate

so one hose on the MBC taps into the BOV line, and one attatches to the wastegate on the turbo?

Isnt doing this like creating a huge vac leak?? b/c i feel air being sucked in the MBC when i turn the car on, and let it idle. Sorry I just dont understand the vfaq.

just so you know, you should have a boost gauge before you have an MBC

ahh ok! thank u very much for pics. yeah i have a gauge already i should have mentioned i guess. Yes i have it hooked up as you show in the last pic.. what is the difference between the 2 ways to hook up the MBC??? does it matter which way it is hooked???? Yikes!
