Ok, bare w/ me b/c i cant think of all the correct names right now b/c im pissed and tired. But anyway, i was driving home and got no more then about a mile from my friends house when my shifter snapped and left me in neutral stranded. Well i got some friends help and got it into a parking lot to find that the shifter, the actual shift rod connecting to the knob broke away from the piece that has the gear selector arm on it. So basically i had no way of even getting it into a gear to get it home. My question is after i get it towed, is there an easy fix or can someone shed a little light on the subject. It was dark so i couldnt see much, but it looks like a threaded bolt snapped off. It was covered w/ grease lube and i couldnt see it to well b/c of the darkness. Sorry its so vague, its hard to describe. Thanks in advance.

-If it's broke off at the weld then it shouldn't be too hard to reweld it, just be careful not to set your car on fire. There's a short shifter (B&M ?) for the 2G if you don't want to fix the broken one.

Its not at the weld or your right, it wouldnt be hard at all. Its broke off at what looks like a threaded bolt. I dont know enough about shifters to tell what exactly is broken, but i do know it broke off right where it connects to the piece holding the gear selector arm, making it undrivable.
