I need help w/ my friends car..we r trying to figure out whats going on Tonight I was over at my pal's house, he has a 1991 GST. Its all stock except like MBC and K&N filter. It was running great yesterday, he had it like 14psi, no probs. Now today, no changes to the engine, no bolts touched, and it hits like 10psi and vibrates slightly and wont hit any higher boost. We r gonna log it and do a run tomorrow, see if anything funny is going on w/ the fuel, it feels like its not getting enough. He was wiring up some gauges last night and pulled the neg terminal off the battery, therefore resetting the ECU. Apparently he connected the battery back up, started the car, let it idle for a while, and then took it out let it warm up and tried to boost, and thats the first thing that happened. can that F up his fuel curves or something? I dont know anything about how the stock ECU sets fuel trims really... or if it needs to relearn and will return to normal??

the standard obd1 dsm ecu will take some time to relearn the fuel curves in the car and by resetting it , the ecu must become adjusted to the new mods done to the car. give it a day or two but if the car continues to do this than maybe you could have an ecu problem
