engine revved under boost like it was in neutral?

alright this is gonna be really hard for me to explain:

I was drivin and i floored it in first, it didnt really pull so i dropped it into neutral for a sec than put it back in to second, it built boost and i shifted into 3rd, floored it, didnt seem like it was building any boost, so i put it into fourth and the RPMS KEPT GOING UP instead of down! I got scared and threw it into neutral..... im afraid to boost now, any ideas would b appreciate thanks alot guys.under boost it also seems like it bogs alittle

*the cars tuned for the cold right now, and today we had (high 40-50 degree) weather* that might have something to do with it?

Would you know what a slipping clutch is?

no i wouldnt, isnt it crazy cash to get one put in? the guy that had the car before me said its fairly new though, and i dont burn the clutch

just to give you an idea i called around just to get a price of what a clutch install would go for on my 2g GSX and most shops want 800-1000$ cause of the AWD makes it a pain to get to everything. Luckily my uncle owns a transmission shop so i bought a ACT 2100 and gave it to him he did it for 200$. but yeah youre screwed

Dropping the tranny is not very difficult at all, I would never take it to a shop. Buy a haynes manual and look it over, see if you feel comfortable doing it yourself, it is not very difficult.
