Ok, im getting more than super effing fed up with this..

yeasterday i replace my fuel filter, and tossed in some new plugs (bpr7es) now all the sudden.. the dang car idles at 1800 rpm once it warms up..

the first thing i figured was a vac leak.. so i pulled the hose and check it... nope...

then i pulled off my upper IC pipe (greddy hard pipe) checked it out..

nope..

then i took the TB completely off, cleaned it, put it back on..

no effect..

now im at a loss.. what the hell is causing this? its beyond irritating and im out of ideas.

My car also did this before I changed wires and plugs. For what ever reason the wires and plugs seemed to help. I used to get so pissed about this. I hope you can get this figured out because I now how annoying this is.

well, i have the biss screw CRANKED all the way in.. if i loosen it much the car starts getting idle surge (hitting like 2100 then dropping, then climbing again)

the really f00ked up thing is.. i let it sit a while, got in, fired it back up.. and it idled LOW like 650... then after a few min.. it started idleing at 750.. perfect.. then a few min later it went up to 1100... then a few... min later.. it was up to 1500...

I just dont get it.

a Friend who has an RX7 tole me his did that when his ISC (idle speed controller) was bad.. but i dont know how to check that..

im still totally at a loss/.

I wonder if when i was breaking the fuel filter fittings loose i could have pulled a wire loose or something, i guess i could check for that.

Well, i got the battery out, and i cant say i see anything down in that area that has to do with the TB, no vac lines or electrical wires that run to the TB...

I may try swapping in a 1g TB tommorrow, i DID have one in anyway but after having some reall throttle probs (car would jar pretty hard when going from no throttle to light throttle.. like a jerky feeling) but the 2g TB didnt solve that anyway..

i still have no clue as to what is causing this.

ok...

ok..

the ISC..

when i swapped the TBs the first time i put my 2g ISC on the 1g TB..

when I swapped it back... i didnt swap it back..

so i have a 1g ISC on a 2G TB..

so i figure either:

A: the ISC is not compatable

B: its bad..

im gonna swap them tommorrow..
