Plug wires keep poping off, Like shooting off

I just fully built my motor and finaly got the install done, well I fired it up and 2 of my plug wired poped off with a good amount of force, COuld this be cause I didnt tork the head studs hard enough??????

Never heard of that happening before. Check the spark plugs to see if they are tight enough, but normally if they weren't you'd have a spark plug shoot through your hood.

Plugs are good and tight, checked that 3 times, wondering if it could be the ruber gaskets that are on the cam cover.

I had this exact problem you speak of and no one else could help me either. Turned out to be a a defective plug wire. Sent the wires back to Summit cause I just got them, and they sent me a new set. haven't had a problem since. When I took them off I noticed a small tear in the boot that connects to the plug itself. There was only a tear in the wire that kept popping off, cylinder number 1. I hope your problem has as simple of a solution as mine did.

This was happening to me right after I did a head swap. Plugs were loose. They should be about 1/4 turn past finger tight.

This is a wild shot but pull the plug wires off mix up a good solution of liquid dish soap like Joy and water, pour enough in to cover the top of the plug holes so it runs out the drip hole for all cylrs. Make sure there are no bubbles, push your finger in to displace some ot the water then go crank the engine. You should have no bubbles and nothing will have washed / floated away. Use a squeege bulb to suck the water out, if you can't get it all out pull the plugs and crank it a few times to purge the cylrs.
