Hey guys,

i really need ur help on this one. I just bought a 91 gst after crashing my 92 tsi a few weeks ago. I picked it up for 1200 bucks. So it was a awesome deal. A few days after I bought my car, it broke down on me so found out that my alternator was overcharging. So i replaced my alternator and battery. So I get the car running for about 5 mins, before it dies again. Car doesnt wanna start again. So I'm lost. I checked everything. Fuses, Fuel pump fuel filter. I have fuel coming out the fuel filter. so i know it isnt the pump or the filter. I had one of my mechanic friends look at it. And he bought these little light things that he hooked up to the injectors electrical line, thats suppose to light up when the injectors are suppose to be on. Well anyway to make a long story short, i have no injector pulse. DOES ANYONE OUT THERE KNOW WHY THAT COULD BE????? Bad ecu? the injector harnesses themselves or what?
PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

So your saying that there is no spark at all? my car didn't start once and i checked the signal wire to the starter...it was lose, fixed it up and started right up. But you say the started isn't the prob?

Ok guys, i just talked to my friend. And he plugged the computer and checked and got two codes. Code 22 and 31. Crank angle sensor circuit problem and knock sensor cicuit problem. Now does that mean the harnesses are bad or the censors themselves?
And where are these sensors located?!?!
Thank you u guys for responding.

Isnt that the camshaft sensor?
I think i need to change the crank angle sensor.
Is there a difference between crank angle sensor and crankshaft position sensor? (I know its a stupid question but i have to be sure.)Does anyone know where that crank angle sensor and crankshaft positoin sensor are?

-The wire can break off right at the fuel injector plug, but you should check the ECU for leaky capacitors, one of the capacitor if leaks will prohibit the ECU from turning on the injectors.
-Crank Angle sensor and Top Dead Position sensor house in the same unit.
-Check the knock sensor for leaking gummy stuff and broken harness.

Yea i changed my camshaft angle sensor when i redid my head, it was very easy just 2 bolts. Prolly get a good one at a junkyard cheap too.:thumb:
