Alright, I was driving last night at about 60 mph when the car started running like crap. It sputters from start-up to any rpm. I replaced the plugs and wires and it still does it. I noticed when i had the hood up that whte smoke comes out above the tranny when I give the car gas( this is in neutral). Does anyone know what the hell is goin' on. Thanks.

you have the t-25 still? Check the turbo first of all. Also, check for any oil leakage. If the car was warm, and oil is leaking somewhere, it'll make smoke =\

what are some more symptoms? Perhaps something fuel related?

Well, I have a 1g with the stock 14b and the turbo doesn't have any shaft play. That's basically all of the syptoms. Somebody suggested that it might have sucked one of the valves, but they aren't really familiar with the car so. But the same guy said it could be the head gasket, so I'll check that and see how that goes. Would the bad head gasket cause one of the cylinders to miss???? Thanks. Also there isn't any oil leakage. I checked the oil level and everything's normal.

I also now have a lot of white smoke coming out of the tailpipe. So maybe that could help more. My friends and I are going to do a leak down test tomorrow.

A cracked valve spring would also cause your car to miss, but if there is white smoke coming from your tail pipe then it is most likely the head gasket leaking. Could be from warped head or just stretched head bolts.

The car is a manual. We just toook the coil pack off because it was arching like crazy, so now I have to find another one.
