What is this noise?

I have a 92 laser awd and it makes a clicking sound when drive it in cold weather with 5 min of warming up but it goes away after a 1/2 mile.
What could this be?

Is it coming from the engine? Sounds like lifter tick to me.

Yea i think its from the engine and its loud

Deffinitly sounds like lifter 'tick'... hence the noise only when it's cold and the car has not been driven, when the oil has the highest viscosity... What kind, and weight of motor oil are you using??
