Could someone please help me identify a part I found in my driveway. I'm not 100% sure it even fell off my car, but it's the most likely candidate. It's some sort of vacuum hose part. It has kind of a hood over it. When you pull the hood up, there is a V shaped cut in the rubber. I've got some pics in my gallery, but they didn't come out very good. I just replaced the fuel filter and oxygen sensor, so those are the areas I've been poking around in. The car seems to run fine, but I haven't really driven it since I did some work on the car and found this part. The only thing it's done kinda strange so far is after you rev it, the idle drops kinda low. I thought that might be just because the battery has been disconnected, so the ECU is in learn mode.

Thanks

PS: Don't tell my wife I put that dirty car part on the placemats.

Transmission Vent - on top of the Tranny - it's an open hole down into the Tranny so you need to get that puppy back in - Manual says to glue it in with RTV - love, Uncle Buck

There are 2 of these on AWD - 1 on Tranny - 1 on transfer case.
