Okie,

The this wierd thing happen today when I turned off the car. I saw smoke coming from under the hood, It smelt like oil, it was white, I think. The smoke was coming out from under the timing belt cover, I couldn't see where it was coming from yet because I had to get into work. Does anyone know what this could be? The recent things I had done are, new lifters installed, new valve cover gasket(could be excess oil from the leak?), I know the oil cap is leaking but that was alot of smoke, new xfer case not that it matters, all free mods done, all fluids changed, new timing belt installed, new seals on the power stearing pump it was leaking. Does anyone have any clue what would make whitish smoke come from under the timing belt cover?

If you say a ####ing head gasket im going to kill you, cause I don't want to have to take the head off. gRR.

You have answered 1/2 of your own question and it may be the only answer.

If your timing belt tensioner/guide bearings are going bad and the belt is slipping over them you will have smoke but won't smell like oil.

Check PCV valve, fix the leaks, clean the engine, look for leaks, put newspaper under engine and then get back to us. Sorry there just isn't anything anybody can do except tell you the obvious.

Cheers,

You need to seal the cam seals using RTV everytime you take off that valve cover. The gasket will not seal properly around those areas. The oil could be leaking out of those and seeping everywhere else. Also, clean the engine using a degreaser. Run the engine around the block, and come back and see where its coming from. That'll pin point your answer. Good luck.

It takes more than just a little effort to remove RTV type sealers if you don't want problems. NASA discovered this many years ago on their manned satellites leaking cabin pressure when installing new gaskets that performed worse than what they had removed. There are solvents (alkaline based) which will remove all traces otherwise you have to scrape and file down to bare metal to get a good seal.
