*~~~Turbo Noise~~~*

Hey, I posted this question awhile ago. The car is pooring a crap load of smoke out the exhaust, and my boost is puttering at anything over 8psi and my turbo sounds like a supercharger. Now my 2 questons are this.

1. Is My turbo blown? Or on it's way!
2. Will my warrienty cover my turbo?

(Turbo/Superchagers)-Internal parts, vanes,shafts,bearings and housing if damaged by the failure of an internal part.

Please tell me what up? And can I just drop a used Turbo from Ebay in after port and polishing??

well, mine will whistle at idle, until you give it some gas, espicially when cold.

also, when my turbo died, (compressor turbin ate shit up) it bent in the blades, and they made a whine sound constantly, from the bent blades.

see if there is any oil leaking into your pipes, also, check for shaft play, and check the resistance if you spin the turbine

I would think its still under your basic warantee. But if thats up, you might still be covered, I dont know about the eclipses, but with the talons, chrysler has the turbo under a special warantee until 100k. I know this cuz i found 2 booklets in my book with my manual & basic warantee info. One was about the 100k warantee on the turbo, and the other was about a life-time anti-corrosion warantee (i think it was life-time, but im not sure.)

If its under warranty let them deal with it. If not, pull the intake off and feel for shaft play and any resistance when turning the shaft. Just make sure you've let it cool down!!! (Not responsible for burns!)
