knocking sound from underneath...

my car is making some funny noises, when my car is idling it sounds almost like a knocking sound coming from somewhere underneath near the oil filter, oil pan and pulleys,

i jacked up the car and tried to hear exactly where it was comign from, but it was just sort of in that general vicinity,

i did an oil change a couple days ago, pretty standard stuff, new oil & oil filter, been done before, i dont know if that could have anything to do with it?

anyone have any ideas on what the noise could be? i'm about to take it to a shop because its getting really annoying,

Hi,
I have the same problem and it sounds like it is in that same area and it seems like it is barely audible at idle but anything above about 1500 rpm and it gets alot louder. I have no idea what it is and it is starting to worry me any help would be apreciated.

we are in the same boat.. I am having that problem to that noise is fregging annoying it sound like a lawn mower inside ur car

Sounds like my balance shaft bearings that just went out. Is your oil metallic at all? If so, quit driving it and tear into it.

Knocking sounds are not good and none of them are cheap. This is obviously tough to diagnose over the internet, but if it isn't B'shaft bearings, it could be a rod or a main. It doesn't sound good.
