Ok. So we had the head sent to the machine shop, basically put back to OEM stock specs, new seals and all that crap. We got new pulleys and a timing belt. We put the timing belt on. The car ran. We drove it to the store and it died. We assumed it slipped out of time or something cause the belt was kinda loose. So we redo the belt (In the damn parking lot) and it still dont start. We have spark, and we have fuel. What do you guys think it could be?
Its possible its flooded because we have tried ALOT to start it.
But is there something easily overlooked on a timing belt/head gasket type job? Anyone got any insight as to whats going on?
This is on a 90 Eclipse GSX by the way.
The marks are lined up on the crank and the oil unit, and the 2 cams dots are facing up, and the 4 marks on the insides and outsides of the cams are all lined up in a line, so everything lines up properly.
We have the chiltons repair manual and it appears to be correct.
ANYONE?
