Darn window clancking sound/problem with powerlock

Hey,
everytime i close the passanger side door it makes this horrible clancking sound like it's going to break, i am looking for methods to resolve this, i took off the door panel and i tried adjusting a plastic piece like i read in a post and it didn't work. Could i put some foam in there so when the window rolls down it's kind of snugged.

Also i have a problem with my passenger side lock, it opens sometimes and sometimes it doesn't, controlled by me, and if i use the key from the outside it doesn't open. I checked and there's like a hook loose but i don't know where it goes.

Does anyone have a diagram of how i could fix this?? like where it's supposed to go? It moved when i unlock and lock by hand.

I have the same problem too!! just started yesterday... what a coincodince. If I try to control the passenger side lock with the power locks, it works once in a while. And the keyhole from the passenger side doesn't work either... I'm looking forward to a answer to this question cause its annoying reaching over to unlock the door.

heh, i have to reach over and open the passenger door on my car. You can open the door from the outside, but youve gotta have the technique and quickness to open it. not really sure how to fix it. one of the arms is loose and its HARD to get to

I've had both problems......the clanging you're hearing is probably the window. The front part of the glass has most likely come off the track. Take your door panel off, remove the door speaker AND the baffle around it and you should be lookin right at it. Loosen the screw on the front of the rail and pop the glass back in. Tighten it back up and you should be ready to go. As for the door handle.....our door handles and equipment were VERY poorly made. I've already had to replace both my handles since I bought my car b/c they just ripped off. My advice would be to get a Haynes manual and start following the door lock hangers until you find the problem. Hope this helps.

damn i noticed the same prob (edit: except it seems that my pass side wont open by power locks at all) today also whats going on

The clanging is not from the door if its the same problem i have---with my car, its the brake light in the back---its loose so it makes this metal on metal clining noise---check the brake light on the rear window---dunno if it will help you, but it happens to me and thats where the noise comes from

could someone help with the powerlock problem??
It opens sometimes and it really sucks, i took the panel off and moved the lock and theres a hook that seems to be out of place but i have no idea on how to fix it, i have no manual.

Where exactly is the hook hanging from? And, what does it look like? (any special clips or fasteners on the end??)
