my car smokes more than me!

i have a lil problem...hopefully...

first i have searched the forums and nobody has had a similar prob.


i just swapped out my t3/t4 kit and put back the stock turbo setup
since i plan on selling the t3/t4 kit. the stock turbo complete
with manifold has been sitting in my garage for about 6-8 months.
i cleaned it up, bolted it on...turned on the car....and now all this smoke
seems to be coming out of my manifold/exhaust housing.

from what i know, its not cracked or damaged....but has anyone
had a problem like this....it doesnt smell like burning oil. it just smells
like burnt i dunno wha?!?!?

How long did you let it run for? When you first put your manifold on it might have grease and oil from your hands. It will usually smoke untill it burns all of it off. Should only be 10-20 minutes. And also your sure it's not an exhaust leak at any of the gaskets?

Sounds to me like and Exhaust gasket leak and a little oil from your turbo oil feed line got in there, run it for a bit and see if it clears up. I wouldn't beat the crap out of it though until I was sure that was all it was.

ok...heres the update...i let it run for like 20 min...and it stopped
smoking...GOOD TIMES!

took her out for a drive...not even a block down the street the
i/c pipe that goes from my turbo to the first pipe
came loose and my car died...left all my tools at home..
had to push it back home...

fixed that...but there is a strange sound coming from the engine
like something bumpin when i shift gears...

then...to make things PERFECT...i hit the driveway entrance
to my office and ripped off from the two bolts from the front
driver side bumper!

this car is driving me nuts....

should i just get the Evo 8?
