Turn signals won't work?

My turn signals will not work, but my flashers will. I just want to know if anyone knows where the turn signal flasher is located? I have been looking forever. I found the one for the hazards, but not the turn signal one. And I did check both fuses.

Ok myroomate came home and he has a talon also. so I went outside and turned on his turn signal and listened for the clicking, and it's the same flasher as the hazards. Now I don't know what to do the flasher is fine, and so are the fuzes. Any Ideas?

Check the bulbs, the flasher depends on the load to heat it up and make it flash.

i had the same problem with my 97 gs......my problem was the turn signal switch. i had to take off the steering wheel and change out that device that controls the lights,turn signals, hi-low beams....its got a thing called a smart switch in it. which means, one control could not be werking, but still yet allow all other controls to funtion. went to auto zone and picked one up for like $70. let me know if this is what it is!!!

I was just looking through some old threads that I have been in or started and noticed I never said what fixed my blinker. Anyways someone on here told me that it is probably the hazard switch and they were right. I put a new one in and now my blinkers work. Just figured I should post the solution to my problem so anyone in the future searching why their blinkers don't work may find the answer.

Yea , thanks actually i had that problem, I had checked bloody everything. drove me nuts.
Just fixed it today. It was funny though, changing lanes or turning by pointing my finger out the window :laugh:
Other drivers usually shot me another finger.

just have your chiltons manual with you when you do it. i know i couldnt have done the job without it. just go step by step and youll be alright. oh, youll need a puller for the steering wheel also. hope that helps!

wow this is an OLD thread...but it was the fuse near the drivers foot, replaced that and all was peachy

Will one blown bulb make them all not work? IE, will a blown turn signal bulb cause everything relating to turn signals stop working? I just replaced my multiswitch hoping that would fix my turn signal problem. When it didnt, upon further inspection I discovered a blown bulb (front left). I was under the impression that even with a blown bulb, the other side should still work, and the left rear should just flash twice as fast... no?

If a blown bulb cant cause my turn signals to stop working, what would? I checked and rechecked all my fuses. I replaced the multi switch. I jiggled the hazard switch while the turn signals were on. Nothing made a difference. I could go ahead and replace the hazard switch, but if that was what was preventing the signals from working, I would assume that jiggling it would have had some effect. I put the right turn signal on, and wiggled the hazard switch side to side, up and down, pushed it in, smacked the dash above it with my hand.. I'm running out of ideas.

When people talk about the "flasher," I assume thats the relay? And the hazards are on the same relay as the turn signals? So this shouldnt be my problem if i have working hazards.

Ive been driving around using my hazards as turn signals. "Im goin right! And left!"
