I am wondering what the one wire sensor on the throttle body does? the one that only gets contact with the tb closed? well when mine is plugged in the car boggs and stalls???? soon as i unplug it the car drives fine what could this be? Ive replacewd that sesnsor

You're referring to the switch that closes when the lever is at rest, right? It signals the ECU that the car is 'at idle'. The ECU then turns on this logic thing that does several things. One is that it will cut fuel if the rpms go above 1500 or so. The ECU will also attempt to control the ICS motor, which is a valve thingy that allows air to bypass the throttle plate, to adjust and keep the idle at the proper rpms [typically about 750 rpms].
I don't know any more.... but it's a start!!!
LET'S HEAR FROM SOMEONE ELSE WITH MORE EXPERIENCE ABOUT THAT SWITCH!!!!

you basically got the right idea. The pcm uses that wire to go into idle strategy. It affects timing, causes the rpms to drop when they hit 1500 with that unplugged the rpm's shouldn't drop to 1200. If it is turnied out too far will be just like unplugging it because it will never make contact. If it is turned in too far will hold the throttle plate open causing a higher idle. The bucking and stalling could mean that it was shorted and always was reading idle. That would be my guess.

If it is idling high with it removed, you have something else going on. The high idle is most likely the ISC. It could have faild or it could have some buildup that is holding it partially open. That's about the only thing I can think of. Have you done the idle surge fixes yet? If not I would go to vfaq and go through the instructions to clean the throttle body and test the ISC etc...

yah ive done everything possible but test the isc s i thinkt hats probly the problem it iwll also kinda surge when im driving?
