Alright, heres the deal. I bought my car w/ a freshly put in JDM engine w/ like 30k or so. Swap was clean and everything works fine except for i get a CEL sometimes. Now i have 2 questions.

1. When i first start my car i have to let it sit there and idle for about 3-5 min.(depending on how cold it is out) and if i dont then for the first 3-5 min driving it it sputters BAD if i start to boost or anything. Changed plugs. Didnt help, so im wondering if it coudl be my wires , but woudl my wires make it do that and make my CEL come on?

2. I just put on an Autometer A/F Gauge. Tapped it on the passenger side plug wire thing. Everything is hooked up right but i turned the car on and all it did was Slowly start at the first light and make its way to the last Green Rich light and stays there. Dont move or anything, I really dont know whats wrong. If it was my O2 sensor then wouldnt i get bad gas mileage. My mileage is fine so i dont know. So my question is what could cause my Gauge to do this?

Any help would be appreciated. Maybe some stupid questions on my part but just very irritating.

Thanks for any input.

-VFAQ.com has instruction on how to retrieve the CEL, you can either use a buzzer, any light that can handle 12v or a multimeter set to continunity.
-Also hook up a multimeter to the same plug at the passenger side to check the O2 sensor voltage.

-For temporary, use a multimeter for it's battery won't last long if you forget to turn it off, you can get a 12v display for ~$15 from electronic store, some soldering is require but it has no back light, or get one from gatgetseller.com .

I also recently installed a autometer A/F gauge and mine jumps around alot, another thing is your car is 13 years old, not everything will be working upto par so I guess it could be any number of things. Mine tends to go to the 3 oclock position then fall back to about 10 oclock.

Well i now know that i have a bad 02 sensor, so im going to change that out and see what happens from there.
Thanks everyone for any help or input u put in.

Later,
Cody
