Question about turbo heads?

How can you tell if you have a turbo motor or not? Are the heads different? Because I bought this head from a guy who had a turbo eclipse, but when i looked at the head it was bronze looking inside like most of these non turbo dsms. The question was did they make bronze looking turbo heads at all and specifically on the 2gs? And how to tell if the block is turbo (4g63)?

Yes the heads are different between turbo and normally aspirated engines. It could be just copper spray that was used to check to see for visual cracks.

I fits bronze where the valve cover bolts onto then its varnish left over from motor oil most likely.....oh and only difference between turbo and non-turbo heads is the exhaust cam......a buddy of mine had to use a non-turbo head after a timing belt popped and it worked

The heads on the first gen's are the same for turbo 2.0l and non turbo 2.0l. The 2gen eclipse have different heads.
