a buddy of mine has a 96 gst and he said he removed some kind of restrictor from the turbo and now its putting out like 15-17 lbs and at real low rpm's? like driving it normal you can see like 8-10 at 2500 rpms (wtf) does anyone have any idea what he is talking about? i didnt think there was anyway to get more boost w/o a boost controler. and you can really hear the turbo it almost sounds like a huge air leak till the greddy type s blows off

Unrestricting the airflow from stock restrictions (UICP, intake etc.) will most defenitely increase boost pressure. I take it your friend has a t-toosmall turbo, and full boost is normally in reach around 2800 rpms so 8-10 psi is easily attainable.

Just with the mods I have on my Talon, my turbo spool is quite loud and I'm pushing about 15psi (But it's creeping at WOT in 5th gear, damn stock exhaust!)
