I just installed an ACT 2600 into my 93 talon AWD. As soon as it was installed, it was immediatly tough to get into gear and when in gear it would stall at idle. The mechanic who installed it said it was the clutch master cylinders old age on a 2600 lb plate. Once the master cylinder was replaced the problem was fine for about 20minutes of driving and then same problems arised once again.

My thoughts on the problem are that maybe one of the fluid lines from the clutch cylinders or slave cylinders is toast from the pressure trying to decompress the clutch even though a new clutch cylinder is in.

Any ideas or suggesstions about what the problem would is much appreciated.

Thanks.

That doesn't happen. However, it may need a thorough bleeding and flushing. How old's the slave cylinder?

Did your machinist put a step in the flywheel?

My mechanic said the slave was fine when he replaced the master cyl. I hope the tranny's not shot. What do you guys think?

Todd says that his tranny was on it's way out when he sold it to you...

is it like the old tranny was in the red car? we still never figured out what was wrong w/ that one...

did you buy a new master when you got it replaced or did you take it out of the red car? cuz that one was brand new....

only thing else i could think of, other than the slave being fried, is the lines... is it still dot 3? or did Radeem use dot 5? that's how eric fried his master/slave cyl.
