Whatever up everyone. I was wondering about something. i have a three inch downpipe to a three inch pipe that comes out right infront of my back passanger tire. so its coming out on the side..it sounds mean as hell but i just bought a muffler for it, same one my friend has on his 2g and his sounds bad ass(real deep and no rice) my question, is there any performance loss from my pipe not going straight out the back instead of it coming out the side.. should i just put the muffler on where the pipe is now and save money on another three inch pipe? Does it make a difference at all? thanks to anyone that can help me out. i really appriciate it.:thumb:

Might notice a lil power gain that way but its Hella loud do remember that, What your baiscally talkin about is like a side pipe, turbo o2 houseing down pipe then a nice lil short pipe commin out the side of your car,

Hey Gives me a good idea for the track

-I was doing that before but almost burn the side molding, so I shortern it , as for the muffler, depend on what kind, it'll seriously reduce the ground clearance on a AWD, and it sound like a V8.

to do that , dont you have to move the oil housing and such? mine is a 3' back..a small bend near my gas tank.. but its the straightest turbo back i've ever seen. And most people around here have seen. If anything is better, the shorter and most straight exahust tubing would be the best!

so it burnt the molding on your car, that sucks, what about sound ordanance stuff do u get pulled over a lot for sound, i think ill make a swap system ill have that lil side pipe idea for the track, Something that looks nice, ill put a chrome tip on it and off set it to the side so hopefully i dont go torchin ne molding, thanks for the idea man,

And BTW the best exhaust material it use is aluminized steel, wont rust for a LONG time and its good, Plus always go mandrel bent. More flow

-The pipe in that link/photo is the shorten version, it has 1 22" resonator on it and angle down, the original version turn toward the side and has another 12" resonator, the shorten version is only loud at 2k-3k rpm, louder than N1 cat back, quite down as the speed increase, I have a fake muffler with 1" pipe on the OEM area so cop won't pull me over.
