I replaced my lifters and my car is still ticking . I think its because i am using to thick of oil 20/40 i think thats what im using.........:p Well it could also be my valves need adusting but im not shure does anyone hae any other clues? My lifters are brand new thanks for any help.

People have said that their brand new lifters will tick for a little while, but then go very silent.

The valves don't need adjusting, that's what the hydraulic lifters do.

Personally, I use 10w30 "synthetic" with good success.

Injectors always click quietly, but it shouldn't be loud.

Check your belts and everything, to make sure nothing is dragging on, or hitting the belts to cause that ticking sound.

Pull out your spark plugs, make sure there's nothing in the combustion chamber. If there is, one of the plugs will be beat to hell (I've seen it).

Hope that helps some.
