ok lets see here,
i just finished rebuilding my first engine last week, it started on the first crank , now i am have all kinds of problems with it:
- low oil pressure, its fine when i first start the car, but after about 5 min it starts to go down.
- low compression, i hope i fixed this problem cause i pulled the head back off and got it rebuilt (since i didn't do it the first time), i know all the exhaust valves had a lot of carbon build up, just wasn't sure if this would cause the problem or not (not sealing properly??). and the sleeves were shot
- and a weired knocking noise when the engine is at 2k on up, i'm hoping this problem is solved now that the head is rebuilt
they only thing i realy did was leave the belt off the silent shaft, but i left the shaft in.... would this cause low oil pressure? becides this, i followed the haynes book........
