alright so about 2 months ago i brought my car in to get the t belt, balance shaft belt and all other belts done. i bought all the belts and payed them to do the labor. this place did my buddies t belt and he had no problems but they did not do his balance shaft belt. anyway here goes........ first time i got it back i paid 275 labor, not too bad at all. i got on it and mad vibration. took it back they said the balance shaft belt was off by one tooth. so they fixed it. about 2 days later i saw my oil light flicker. look under my car and its leaking oil like crazy. so i filled it with oil and drove to work the next morning. when i pulled in it was leaking like a mofo. so i called them and i was like im bringing my car back!!!!!!! i had it towed, i paid for the tow. they called me later that day and said that they didnt use sealant behind the bolts in there so it WAS fixed after that for about 1 week till i noticed oil soaking on my block on the side my belts are on. got under the car and my oil pan was soaked with oil too. look up and i see a lil drip of oil coming from the crank same spot it was coming out of before. now it wasnt leaking, just like soaking but now its getting worse and slowly starting to leak. i checked the t belt and theres no oil getting on it thank god. but anyone have any idea what it could be?

im guessing cause they were in there so many times they pinched the crank seal and didnt wanna replace it. is this a big job to do? or does anyone think it could be sometihng else?

i have the same problem in my gsx......its most likely the oil pump housing gasket or the little triangular gasket that the actual oil pump attaches to.....the little gasket has 3 bolts attached to get it off....it could possibly be that.....ill let you know what happens with mine when take the cover off and what not

has anyone came to a conclusion of where this oil is coming from? cause my 91 gsx is leaking just like this also, and when the car is idealing the pressure is lower then what it use to be when i got the car but when i press the gas it goes up to where it is supposed to be at running speeds. anyone have any answers on this would be great, i'm about to put 2g pistons and 1g rods in with a new hg. i would like to get it all fixed at the same time.

not yet..........im still going with the fact they pinched the crank seal. thats exactly where my oil is leaking from. and correct me if im wrong the oil pump is to the right and slightly lower than the crankshaft. so if it was the oil pump/oil pump gasket wouldnt oil be coming from it??????? and not behind the crank??????? i really dont have the money/time to look into this right now so if anybody knows what it could be or if u had the same problem............please lend us your knowledge :dsm:

Wow, what a nightmare. It could be the crank seal, it could be the oil pump seal, it could be the balance shaft idler pulley. The only way to find out for sure is to take the timing belt cover off and take a look.
