Ok, after i installed my JDM engine i started from the first moment of life, with idle surge.
in total dispair, i started reading, i checked everything from isc, to tps, everythin, still, nothing in the book could help me.
I thought, ok, what now, I bought a almost new throttle body and sensors from ebay, with 40k on them. and installed them today, after getting everything hooked up, IDLE was the exact same, though my topend power was higher for some reason.
today i read terrys talon troubleshooting tips on dsm.org, and went to work. it was then i unhooked the idle switch, and the ISC, and noticed NO CHANGE AT ALL. this leads me to belive that none of my throttle body compnents or sensors are at fault.
with the knowledge that my idle controlling shit, wasnt affecting idle, i decided to just try to set the base idle lower, and forget about it for a while. so i jumpered the timing plug, and grounded pin 10, idle dropped, i adjsuted the biss to around 1k, and when i unhooked it all again,
idle shot right back up where it was.
my question is, if NONE of the idle controlling processes or devices will affect idle, what is?
Another thing, while i was trying to set the base timing, the timing would advance and then immediatley idle would jump.
so, a timing advance / retard occurs right before idle is affected, so what could adjust timing? the ECU or the Knock sensor.
could the knock sensor be bad, and causing my problems?
or am i just totally fuqqed in a eternal fight with a unfixable problem.
thank you for reading.
please post comments or suggestions
EDIT : injectors, isc, tps, ips, coils, wires, plugs, transistor, vac leaks, have been eliminated
