hey to everyone. well, i got my eclipse running again after a year of sitting in the garage. the car runs sweet, the only problem is there is something wrong with the brakes. besides the usual rust that accumulated on the rotors making the car sound horrible and stop poorly, there is something wrong with the brake pedal. it is really soft on top and i have to push it much further down than before to stop the car. i know it usually means that there is air in the lines but i didnt even touch them before i put the car away plus the reservouir was topped off. can this be one of those things that will go away after i drive the car for a while or do i need to bleed the brakes??
thanx

I'd err on the safe side and bleed the brakes. It'll cost you like what... $4? and you can be sure that that's not your problem... Start with the simple, obvious things. It's most likely those, IE bleed your brakes, and stop being lazy, damnit.

Also, I had parked my car for a while a couple years ago, and one of the brakes seized closed, though it didn't affect the pedal pressure.

You might not need to actually bleed the brakes. They are probley fine, but the fluid gets moisture in it and cause a mushy pedel. Drain old fluid out, and fill and bleed the new brake fluid in. You should be fine then. Good luck. Oh and SS brake lines work wonders :thumb:
