- + symbol comes on while driving What can it be.

Like i said the - + symbol comes on while i drive but after like 5 minutes of driving it will turn on. Second After starting the car 6 times the car will die. It will jump start but then it will lose power turn signals wont work. My question is What is it and can it be an alternatoor problem? I tried changing the battery it works but it seems after starting the car 6 times it will drain the batterey.

While the car is running, disconnect the positive side of the battery. If it stays running, the alternator is fine; if it dies, you may need a new alternator.

If it does die, check to see if the fuse is blown, somewhere in the fuse box. You may just need a new fuse for the alternator to charge the battery.

that worked great on old cars, but don't do it on modern ones.

just take your car to any autozone, pepboys, advance auto and they'll check out the charging system in the car for free.

also check to make sure all your ground straps are hooked up properly.

Yes, that's the charging circuit indicator light, and it's usually telling you the alternator's done. The 6 starts also tends to say the same thing. It _might_ be a connection issue, but I'd be surprised.

yea its pretty rare, but it did happen to me right after the car was worked on. but it wasn't the kind of thing that would come out of nowhere. 99% chance of dead alternator.
