Ok, I just put my car back together. It ran fine when it was first running. It has the Fuel pump re-wire done in 8ga, a 30 amp fuse and a DEI relay. I went on the maiden voyage with a plate on it (Its been down for 8 months) and while I was riding down a test road, the car dies all of a sudden. Furthur scrutinization shows that the fuse poped, so I just hooked up the factory wires together to get it running again. I get to my boy's house and I shut the car off, cause It will over heat idling till I get the fan back in. I go to start it again and it wont fire....
Then this next-door neighbor guy shows up ith a bunch of tools and trys to diag the problem.
We pulled the fuel filter off and agreed it was clogged and needed replacing.
I replaced it.
Still wont fire. I tried pulling off the filter and priming the pump to see what kind of pressure I get. Trickles. I hook it all up except for the fuel injectors,in that case I just left the holes in the fuel rail exposed to see what kind of flow happens.
The flow is bad I think, I have to plug the 4th cyl injector hole on the rail to get fuel to come out of the 3rd hole, plug the 4th and 3rd to get it to flow out of the 2nd hole etc, etc.
The basics of the matter is that I'm getting inadequite flow and thats why The car wont fire, i'm guessing.
How much fuel flow should I be getting? should it be spraying everywhere when I prime it? or does it pressurize in the rail? cause if it does, i'm still not gettin her running, just a few pops, but not running.
I hope you guys can make sence of what I just said, and hopefully have some helpful suggestions too!
thanks
Nick

You deffinatly are looking in the right area. Sounds to me like you may have gotten a bad pump. (It does happen....rarely but it does) I would try to hard wire (direct jumper to check flow) the pump to see it it helps and maype try a new pump if flow doent improve. You should have more fule than you descrided. Won't spray unless it is restricted but should be a steady flow.

The # on a walbro for instance is for liters per hour (255 lph) if that gives you any indication how much fuel should be comeing out.

Good description and trouble shooting!:thumb:

But I just checked my compression just for giggles.....
Nothing funny about
75-124-123-125
I *DID re-use my Ralliart MLHG, as well as the ARP head studs. I'm not sure If I lubed the ARPs well enough for torque setting though.
Jesus this is pissing me off, the 4th time I've tried to revive this GSX, it just doesnt wanna stay together!
I HOPE to a higher power that my ARPs came "Loose" or some stupid detail like that.....
I'll keep you posted.
p.s. when I was checking the compression, I did smell a bit of fuel, so somethings working I dunno this is sooo frustrating....
