Low oil presure

I resently rebuilt the head on my 95 talon TSI turbo, and for a couple weeks or so i had heavier weight oil in it (10w-40) so the seals would seal all up nicely. Then i put synthetic 10w-30 in it and ever sence i have had low oil presure after it heats to normal temp.

would there be that much of a presure difference between 10w40 and 30 or do ya think it just so happends my oil pump is going at the same time. (i do have 150k on it)

Could be a little bit of both. But it also depends on the oil you are using. Were you using synthetic 10W-40 as well? Or some cheap dino oil? Because tehre is a BIG diff. between dino 10W-40 and synthetic 10W-30.

yeah it wasnt synth 10w-40, If it isnt the pump what should i do?

As long as the needle is in the "normal" range, you are fine. The thicker oil created more oil pressure, that's all.
