O2 Questions?

ok heres the delima. hooked up the blinky light guage to fill a hole in my pillar pod but it didn't do anything just one light in the right corner. So I sent it to autometer and they replaced it. same problem. Could my O2 sensor be bad and not letting the guage work properly? or should the guage do the sweep thingie all the time like i have seen in other cars?
I know it dosen't do much but I at least want it to work properly.

ok measured voltage at the sensor(white wire) it reads .06V to .085V when i rev the engine. i read where it should be .85V to 1.0V optimal?
don't want to spend 125.00 on a o2 if I don't have to. thanks guys.

the instructions on the autometer site do not work, i had the same problem. hook it up to your ecu and your set!

i hooked it to the middle white wire on the ecu but nothing and that was on both guages.
