Hi folks:

I had posted previously about gas blowing out my exhaust. I got that fixed, but the smoke that I thought was from running too rich has not gone away. I think I may have a head gasket problem. How should I diagnose the smoke?
It is white smoke, and it smells like burning oil. I thought oil smoke was bluish so maybe some of it is steam. The oild does not appear to be milky like the antifreeze is mixing with it.

Give me some tips for diagnosing white smoke from the exhaust.

in your other thread you stated that there was raw gas coming out, the smoke might just be leftover gas in the exhaust heating up and blowing out

I guess that could be the case but it is such a thick cloud of smoke that I really cant drive it for blinding the other drivers. I guess I will try to run it as much as I can for a couple days and see if it clears up.

I do have a catalytic converter and I cut off my muffler.
I may try going out after dark so the smoke wont be so visible.
