Im in need of a new tranny and i was wondering where do i look to count the number of splines? Can i look on the transmission itself or do i have to look around the driveshaft? thanks

You look on the output shaft that connects to the transfer case. I think most of the input shafts are the same. Its really easy to change the spline though. If you need help on how just ask.

anyone have a pic of where this is? Does the transmission have to be unmounted for me to count the splines? thanks

You can take off the transfer case to see it. Im pretty sure your car is a 23 spline.
