new 6 bolt block or motor?

I have crankwalk, what is meant by a 7 to 6 bolt swap?? is it to swap the 6 bolt block into my engine or to swap the whole engine?
I'm kindof new, so I'm assuming what people meant by swapping 7bolt to a 6bolt is just the block and not the whole engine.
so is it just the block or the complete engine???
anyone who has done the 7-->6bolt swap, how much $$ am I expecting to lose....

The whole concept is to swap a 1g 6 bolt motor into a 7 bolt car , u can still get crankwalk it can happen in any car but with the 6bolt motors
you have a lesser chance, you can look anywhere from 2000 -2500 for the swap if you do your own labor and make sure you get a good engine to swap in , i suggest you go with jdm or a low mileage us spec if u can find one

I just completed a six bolt swap. Not cheap and not fun. Little crap kept cropping up. I rebuilt a six bolt most guys just buy one and drop it in. I have almost $4000.00 invested into mine already and thats just parts. I did the install myself. I rebuilt the motor and had it in the car in three days. Oh what fun!

damn......4g??? shiet.......thats a lot......i tought it would only take about 1g for a 6bolt motor without tranny and labor would be from 500-1g.
Is it really that expensive??? if it is......i will just probably buy extented warranty and have them fix it......would that be a good idea???

You can get a good JDM 6-bolt for around $1500. You should be able to do the whole job for a little over $2000. You should put all new belts, water pump, and clutch asssembly in when you do the swap.

what will it take for me to get a new engine put in by extended warranty? does the engine have to stop working or do i just take it in to the dsmn shop? anyone been through this process?
