I spent three days building a 6 bolt long block from the bottom up. The motor is currently in the car and runs. I have two issues. My first issue is an oil leak I am having from the turbo return to the oil pan. Who makes a good return line that has good quality hose and ends that go to the turbo and the oil pan? My oil pan is a Moroso oil pan and the return design is not all that good at the pan. The turbo is an IHI 16G Killer.
My second issue is also another oil leak. I can start the car and run it for a few minutes and notice a nice amount of oil accumulating on the front cross member toward the firewall of the car. I thought that maybe the front seal was not holding so I took the top timing belt cover off to see if the timing belt had oil on it since its close to the front seal. No oil.....My next guess would be a bad oil pan gasket. I had to pull the pan off to install the motor since it sticks out to much for the motor install. Here is how I am guessing how its the pan. While the motor was on the stand I primed the oil pump with a air drill and got 60 PSI and no oil leaks from any of the seals, however the crank was not turning so that is something else to throw in. I can't imagine a bad oil pan gasket causing that kind of oil spray. Any thoughts???
Thanks.
