VACUUM LEAK! please help!

Just installed Dejontool 2 piece upper intercooler pipe. Was a very easy install, and when I start the car, it idles like hell. A friend and fellow DSMer pointed out that I had a vacuum leak, but didnt have time to help me. I can hear the leak. It seems to be coming from the throttle body area. I checked any loose hoses and found none. All I did up there was take off stock TB elbow, and put my pipe there, so maybe that is where the leak is. I tightened all four bolts evenly and used the gasket, and it all seems flush, but I can still hear the leak. What should I do??

Try getting a new gasket, and check to make sure every gasket surface is flat. Double check all your couplers, just to be sure.

I will get gasket material tomorrow, and try that. I was going to use RTV to see if that helped any. Oh well, I hafta go to work now, so gotta wait til tomorrow. It just seems wierd that my idle is that bad, and the leak is that loud even though everything looks perfect. Any other suggestions would be welcome.

-Spray a small amount of carburator cleaner at the suspect area, RPM will increase if the leak is there.

Hey, im back from work. Im sure this is no big deal- thanks to both of you to the help. Im only stressin' about it because I have so little time to work on it, so I have to drive my moms car Anyway, its 10pm right now and I have to be at work at 6am.
