I got problems, I just installed some generic UICP and intake, off ebay. When I drive the car it makes boost, but it doesnt hold it for one, and for two it doesnt really make power when its boosting. Also it will overboost, the other day I hit fuel cut and blew an intercooler pipe off around the throttle body. I'm curious if the leak would be after the turbo, since it is spooling all the way but not holding it, nor putting the power to the ground. any input would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Are you venting or recirculating the BOV> CHeck your boost controler lines make sure they are all connected properly, and perhaps an adjustment of the BOV if there is any. Tighten/loosen. whatever.
The cars not making power because those large spikes in boost are causing your timing to get pulled. Then your probably leaking soewhere.

"spooling all the way but not holding it"

to what psi? sounds like a stock turbo to me.

I am not venting to the atmosphere, I have no MBC. Around 5.5-7000 rpm, it won't hold 14, it will drop down to 11 or 12 and yes it is a stock t-25. Heres what I think It could be..... my greddy bov, turbo, gasket from UICP to Throttle body (it was bent when I put it on)., cracked LICP etc..... Another thing the where the UICP and the intercooler connect its at an angle kind of like this,

Its not a direct fit so Im not really sure. Hopefully I will pressurize the system today.

Okay I narrowed it down to a few areas, by using some soap and water. There was a decent leak from the coupler from the UICP and the throttle elbow. Also around the gasket for the BOV, can i just use some sealent for that? The other spot that worried me was the BISS screw and the gasket around the throttle body and the UICP elbow. Any ideas?

Yeah some RTV should work to seal up the BOV. As far as the boost dropping off that's simply inherent to that turbo. T25's rarely hold over 14psi over 6000rpm unless your spiking to 20 psi in the mid range, thats about the only way you'll see 14spi up top w that turbo. You car was running like ass because of the boost leaks (makes things run rich) YOu should be seeing some results as you button things up. Get an MBC

thanks, also what should I do about the BISS screw leak? I am going to get a throttle gasket from mitsu tommorow and hopefully seal that right up. For some reason the car feels better with a bigger air filter on their to. Thanks a lot for your help.

Your Welcome. No problem. The Mitsu Dealer or any hose&Gasket shop should sell that itty bitty (not sure of size) Viton O-ring that goes around the top of the BISSS screw. I think theres a second O-ring lower in the hole. USE a small Dental style type pic to get it out. You may want to take the TB off to do this and hold it upside down so gravity insures it falls in you hand and not into the TB once you pic it out.

Yeah Turbos like to breath. :p
