hey guys,
i'm really frustrated and want to fix my car ASAP, since it is my daily driver.

[symptoms]

apexi digital gauge [ on the turbo timer ] reads 1.04 V under full throttle on all occasions.

boost at 15 psi, 70 mph cruising in 4th or 5th gear; i put about 1/2 to 3/4 throttle to pass a car and BOOM- my car feels like it hit fuel cut :confused: maybe a little less severe.

again, same scenaria.. except it hits HARDER and the CEL is thrown...

after that, FULL boost at 15 psi and i feel like i'm driving a civic :cry:.. im spooling like crazy in 5th gear and im not accelerating anywhere.

after that, boost at 11 psi.. full 11 psi, full spool, NO ACCELERATION. it feels like my car is going nowhere, fast.

[verdict from the shop ]

CEL code shows a "turbo failure"; "its because of all the aftermarket stuff you have on your car. put it back to stock and the CEL will go away " BULL F-IN SHIT. :mad:

t belt and water pump just redone; o2 sensors checked and were fine.


what do you guys think? i think it either: a blown turbo, leaky turbo, boost leak, fuel problem, etc..

check all lines..with a litte bit of water is what i do...to look for bubble's...check ur mbc lines...check all IC pipes...check bov line to the manifold..also check the one u may have tap for a boost gauge..if u have one..they are to the right of the timing belt good luck...
 
tommy is that you? come over and ill pull the cel with the datalogger... well figure out wuts goin on
 
You blew and IC pipe off. JEeesh.. running rich probably fouled up your O2 sensor and threw a code.
 
nono didn't blow of an IC pipe.. just tightened everything up as a precaution.

well NOAH ^^ checked the CEL.. get me my codes dammit!

car seems much better now though.. still running rich at 13 psi..
