just got a new system.. the headunit looks weird though, there's some gaps around it and yea.. looks really unattractive. and my car had a double din radio so there's a big gap underneath, also. any ideas on how to make this look better?

A few install kits with a pocket that mounts below do exist or use ABS or similar plastic to cover it up.

As I think about it, if you used the factory din brackets to mount your deck, you can get a factory pocket that will work(with minor shaving of the pocket).Factory pocket used on non double din stereo's like the non-infinity headunits, that is.

Try a TAP Plastics, or a sheet metal shop for grained, black plastic you could make a mask around the edges with.

I put a Pioneer deck in without any additional mounting brackets. Fit right into the stock location and looks awesome.

Here is a pic from my old ESi. It's kind of hard to tell, but you can at least get an idea. It's a pioneer H/U with a plastic try underneath.

You can also just get some clear plexiglass from home depot and spray paint the back side.It looks good and it is easy to get.

is that a stock infinity amp under the passenger seat? anyone knows what it is? im thinking its an amp..........what are the specs?

Yes its an amp, its specs are average, but not very powerful(as much power as an average aftermarket deck) or easy to work with.

is it hard to install an aftermarket deck on an eclipse? or is it just like on any other car? any tips?
