Car WONT START! Been sitting a month!

SO HERE's the deal....My car has been sitting in a garage for one month....in this one month we replace the tranny, clutch, and flywheel. I also replaced the fuel filter, and doused the inner-cooler with rubbing alcohol.

So we put everything on, connect all the hoses, wires, yadda dahh, yadda dah, and rip some EGR crap out that we dont need....anyway here's where we get the problem. It's been sitting on jack stands for a month, and we got everything together, we just haven't put the overflow tank, or any antifreeze in yet. We just wanna see if it will start. We go to start it up, and guess what? It just keeps turning and turning....not getting a spark to start. Finally the battery starts to go dead, so we get another car to jump it, the whole time it just keeps turning, and turning, NO SPARK. So right now I know its not the starter, or the battery. What could be the problem? It IS getting fuel, cuz i can smell the gas overflowing into the engine.

I haven't ruled out that it could be spark plugs, or the distributor, but they worked before, so why wouldnt they now? they've only been sitting around a month! lemme know! any input would be lovely!

distributor.. hahah. we have coil packs on our cars. could be a shot power transistor,bad packs,ECU could've gone bad,you need to have a friend hold one of the plugs while you spin it over and look to see if it gets any spark(wires better be good or it might shock the sh!t out of him) ground the plug to something steel or you won't see a spark.

Make sure all your wires are hooked up in your engine bay. My car wouldn't start and it turned out to be a bad connection to the coolant temp sensor on the termostat neck.

Okay here's the update on my car after i've TRIED THINGS.....

- Swapped ECU.....didn't do anything
- New spark plug wires.....nothing
- Tested the coil packs....they all sparked

So if these aren't the problems why my car isn't starting...could it be I need a new cam sensor? If timing was off, could it effect me not being able to start my car?

As of now, in order to crank it, the battery must be hooked up to another car, getting jumped. it cranks....and wants to start, just won't. And everyonce and a while you'll here a BOOOM out the exhaust, like back fire, or detonation....i'm really at a loss guys, i dont know what to do, please help me out. I AM getting fuel however.

If you took off the CAS, cam angle sensor, and put it back on "way the hell off" then it will not start, try having a friend turn the car over, while you move the CAS back and forth

We never messed with the CAS or anything like that, its just when we went to start it, it just cranked and cranked. I mean if i'm getting spark from the wires and coilpack, and the timing is perfect (as in we never messed with it while we did tranny work) and we can smell fuel, and THINK we're getting it, whats the problem? i mean when i try to crank it, after a little while, i hear a loud BOOM out my exhaust, like somethind detonated, or like back fire!

I'm lost for words, what to do!?

Did you put the plugs back in the correct firing order.
