A little shaft play in the turbo

The other day I felt for any play in the shaft on the ol' 14b and i felt some. How much longer do you guys think I would have left on her? It didnt feel like that much play, but I could notice it. Also I have not been running full boost in a while just to let you know.

A little shaft play is normal. My turbo has a little back and forth, enough to notice, and it runs very strong.

I would not worry until you can move it more than .25 in. back and forth and it smokes like a fog machine.

alright thanks man. she does have 197,8xx miles on her. never rebuilt

a little shaft play is not normal,your turbo should have NO shaft play at all if its in good shape.
