ok guys, i did some searching around but could really find was i was looking for. im having a really hard time with this car, i recently bought the car a couple of weeks ago, and now for some reason, it idles alittle low sometimes, and after driving a while and i press the clutch i would idle at like 100rpm, then manage it self up to about 600-700rpm. Also my acceleration is WAY off, i would floor it in 1st and it would feel like im only going at about 2k rpm, in 2nd gear it gets alittle better, and in 3rd even better, and so on and so on..... sometimes when i would turn and shift to downgear, my engine would just shut off, as if the idling didnt have enough power to stay on.... my dad who is a mechanic was thinking it could be the clutch, now today we took out the tranny and checked out the clutch, it seemed fine from what we could tell, it was a centerforce clutch btw... also, even more bad news, the transmission had a hole on the left side towards the passenger side. We took out the metal peice cap the the hole was in, and looked inside, and nothing really looked too damaged, we saw some metal grinding pieces but nothing really damaged on the tranny, so basicly now im wondering if this could be a tranny problem, crankwalk problem, or is it possibly both??? i read the when its walking the clutch pedal sticks to the bottom, this has never happened to me so far, just letting you no, hope u guys can help, any help is appreciated. thanks :thumb:

Well, I can't really help with what your problem is from the description you gave.. But here are some symptoms of crankwalk..

Loud ticking sound from the belt side, bottom of the engine.
Clutch pedal sticks to the floor in a left turn.
Clutch engagement point will vary on the pedal.

be forewarned, that you may not get these symptoms.. It can just come suddenly and without warning. (trust me, i know from recent experience.)
