Does your n/t engine rev down really slowly like mine?

It always seems like my engine revs down really slowly. It's a little different day by day, but even when the engine is heated up, it bugs the hell out of me of how slow it revs down. On an Integra, or Prelude (for example) the RPM's just drop down instantly after you rev it up in neutral.
Some days when I’m shifting at 3000 RPM's or something, when I push in the clutch (to go into 3rd) my damn RPM's just stay at 3000 for at least half a second before it starts to drop really slowly. On other manual cars, the RPM's drop instantly and quickly to make it easier to syncronize shifts.

Any ideas on this problem? Bad sensor(s) or something?
Anyone notice their 420a revs down slower than other 4 cylinder engines?
 
I'd start looking into a binding throttle cable then. If the air can easily get out, something is letting more air in. gl.
 
I was wondering how to fix that too. I ordered a high flow cat hoping that will take care of it. I checked my throttle cable and nothing looks to be binding up. is there a spring inside that throttle body not letting it throttle down?? or is there vacuum?? mine will randomly throttle up if I start to slow down and put it in neutral. not bad just to like 2,500 or so ,but it pisses me off i push the clutch in at a stop light and my engine throttles up and stays throttled up for 2 or 3 seconds I look like i can't drive a stick.
 
LOL, i'm sure. Just wanted to know if anyone notices this. If there's a problem, ide want to fix it.

Mine does the same exact thing, and it pisses me off too..

I just put a new TB on and a new IAC and TPS, plus i have no cat. Test pipe there instead, and i had same thing with rpms before i changed the TB, so it's not in there...

Surly someone has dealt with it..
 
so it bothers you that the revs dont fall off as soon as you shift? id say its probably because its still the heavy steel factory fly wheel the lighter the fly wheel the faster it will rev and the faster the fall off when you let off the gas the heavyier the fly wheel the slower it revs but they hold longer it all sounds like the "problem" is in the clutch

Don't have to be shifting. The dam thing can be in neutral and the rpms stay up once u press the gas and let off it. takes too long to drop down to idle. and yes it bothers me...:notgood:
 
This same problem happens to my AWD car. I don't think that flywheel jargen has ANYTHING to do with the "sticking" rev. I'm not saying I have the solution, but I am saying that the flywheel idea doesn't have much validity.:talon:
