Okay so I was driving my car on the highway the other night and everytime I hit a bump (here in OK is every other second) the change oil light would flicker on and off. I know it's not due for an oil change yet. Anyways when I was changing the spark plugs, I did a general look over the engine and noticed a wire hanging from around the area where the oil filter is. I tried figuring out where it is supposed to go, but I have no luck. I am supposing that is the problem but I don't want to do anything that would screw up the oil pressure or something like that. Another thing (not necessarily a problem), by the battery (to the lower right side) there is a metal box that I have absolutely no idea what it is. Call me retarded, dumb, whatever... but I just want to know what it is. Thanks for all your help

EDIT: We all started somewhere. :) The wire was reconnected to the dummy light sensor on the oil filter housing and the oil pressure light went away. The metal box was the cruise control on the '90.

-It's a 'oil pressure' light, not a 'change oil' light, that single wire goes to the oil pressure sender unit located on the back side of the oil filter housing, it look like a small tin can with a brass nibble on the back where the wire hook to.

-As for 'metal box', if it's round about the size of a soda can, than that's the fuel filter.

The metal box is in fact a metal box, rectangular in shape. It is not the oil filter. I have been told that it is ABS but I don't have a clue.

-I didn't know a 90 NT has ABS.
