turns over but wont start

ok i tested and i have no spark, it just up and died

so today i checked my coilpack and its fine, and i tried a spare and didnt work, i checked my cam sensor and it seems to be fine, although in the manual it says to check the harness for everything not the actual sensor, which is kind of odd

so only things left are possible ecu went bad, crank angle sensor, and power transistor module right?

the ecu ill check tomorrow, but the other two are so hard to check because they are way down underneath the intake manifold, theres like no room to check
 
well even if the belt skipped teeth i would still get spark, i pulled the plugs out and tested them and got no spark, i pulled all the plugs and looked inside and everything looks ok, but i didnt do a compression check
 
There's no Crank angle sensor on 1G's. the CAS does both, even on 1G 7 bolts.

Check your coilpack connection power. Should be getting a constant 12 volts.

Recheck your wires/connections.
 
The cam angle sensor sends out both Cam and crank information to the ECU.

There is no specific *sensor* that's measuring off the crank, it's measuring off the cam.

Unless my motor is some sort of crazy monkey one off motor, there's no sensor like the 2G 7 bolt's on my 6 bolt.
 
that would make sense, because my 95 had no cam angle sensor up top like my 1g does, i guess its possible that there is no crank angle sensor
 
well i called and asked for a crank angle sensor for a 92 talon and they said its 480 bux, and im sure they must call the cam sensor on the top of the motor the crank sensor then because the crank sensor that goes down on the crank costs 50 bux, but thats all they had listed for a 92 so there must not be a crank sensor, just the "cam sensor"
 
On a 1G, the cam and crank sensors are combined into the crank angle sensor. There is also a top dead center sensor which is probably the one you were discussing that is on top of the motor. Check your service manual.

i hope for u its just the power transistor module(Mitsubishi made these for mitsus and mazdas and they do go bad often)

hope your Tbelt didnt jump
