Problems with Turbo(EvoIII)

i just recently installed a EvoIII turbo that i got from slowboyracing. Anyway the install went very smoothly and we got everything installed correctly. The problem that i have is that the turbo spools slow and it doesn't pull. I get full boost around 3,300rpm but the spool is slow and u don't get that instant feel of power. I rode in my friends car and he has a Big16G and the instant spool up he gets i don't. I have checked everything from coolant lines to oil lines and i have no boost leaks and i have no idea what could the problem be. We were thinking that maybe te wastegate actuator is staying a bit open? Then again my turbo has the 34mm flapper mod but i don't think that has anything to do with it. Although i must say i get no boost creep. Anyway you guys are my last hope i'll be taking off the turbo again to put on the EvoIII O2 housing...i hope someone here has experienced a problem like this. Also i have all the supporting mods just in case anyone will ask

Edit: As far as the car running the O2 voltages show a good .92v at Wot which i was told was ok. Also i noticed that my exhaust is vibrating a hell of a lot more that with the t25, possible exhaust leak? Also i noticed that i don't get the high pitched sound with the BOV(Greddy Type-S), its really quiet but still releases the "pshhht" sound but not as loud. Hope this helps

Are you sure that you are tuned good?

Is your accelleration normal up until when the turbo would normally kick in? Does it sound like its spooling right? Might sound dumb but spin the shaft in your turbo when you have it off and see if it feels like it spinning right. Also you might try checking your throttle body and making sure the plate is opening all the way.

TalonRacer even if the car is not tuned thats no reason for it to spool slow. But i have tuned the car a little bit with the safc so i know my settings are correct.

Roast Beef the turbo is new so and i did check that it spun freely and there was no shaft play. It is spooling because i am building and holding boost at 14psi but its not spooling fast enough like its supposed to. The throttle body is fine

only other thing that i can think of is the wastegaste is not fully closing, i'll be looking into that tommorow when i take it off. Other than that lets hope its something stupid

maybe a bend or something stuck in your ic pipes blocking the path? A wild shot but anything helps right?.

actually good tuning WILL have an effect on tuning. Running leaner while off boost or at low boost will spool the turbo faster.

My guess is you have a massive pre-turbo exhaust leak.

yep i can say that we took the turbo off tonight and the wastegate flapper was fully closed so that was ok. I couldn't test the turbo because for some weird reason the damn turbine housing threads stripped so tommorow we are going to have to re-thread them again. I will see what happens tommorow ans let everyone know

Well after threading the new holes on the turbine housing we hooked up everything including the ported evo 02 housing and the car runs great. As of now i have the boost at 18psi running at .91v. Tommorow we start to tune it a little bit. But the turbo pulls hard all the way to redline at 18psi
